3Cat Handcrafted Beverage Opens In Convoy District: A New Destination For Tea Lovers

A new haven for tea enthusiasts has recently opened its doors in the Convoy District, with 3Cat Handcrafted Beverage officially debuting on November 15. Named after the owners’ beloved cats, this charming establishment is situated in a plaza alongside Aree Bakery and Keep Coffee, conveniently located near Common Theory.

3Cat Handcrafted Beverage is quickly gaining attention for its unique approach to tea drinks, focusing on fresh, high-quality ingredients without the use of syrups or artificial additives. The menu features a variety of tea options, including jasmine green tea, osmanthus oolong, and golden amber. Customers can enjoy these teas on their own or as a base for rich milk teas and lattes. In addition to traditional tea offerings, 3Cat boasts an array of fruit-based beverages such as avomango sweet dew, lime explosion, cheese grape, and super orange.

What sets 3Cat apart is its commitment to crafting innovative toppings made fresh daily. Each morning, the staff prepares toppings like mousse and mochi three hours before opening. The mochi comes in exciting flavors such as mango, matcha, and Oreo, while the mousse options include soybean, cheese, Oreo, and a seasonal matcha flavor. Customers can also enhance their drinks with unique add-ins like mashed purple yam, osmanthus tea jelly, coconut jelly, or popping boba flavored with barley or water chestnut.

Originally established in Los Angeles in 2019, 3Cat has expanded significantly and now operates six locations across Southern California and one in Milpitas in Northern California. The brand has expressed interest in further expansion within California, with plans to potentially open additional outlets in San Diego. This growth reflects the increasing popularity of bubble tea and handcrafted beverages among consumers seeking fresh and flavorful options.

The atmosphere at 3Cat is designed to be inviting and playful, featuring decor that pays homage to the owners’ feline inspirations. Customers have noted the appealing aesthetic of the shop, which includes cute cat figurines throughout the space. The ordering process is streamlined through self-service kiosks that allow patrons to customize their drinks easily.
Initial reviews from customers have been positive, highlighting the quality and freshness of the beverages. Many have praised the unique flavor combinations and the shop’s commitment to using real ingredients rather than relying on artificial flavors. One customer remarked on the refreshing taste of their drink and appreciated the minimal sweetness compared to other boba shops.

As 3Cat Handcrafted Beverage prepares for its grand opening, it stands poised to become a favorite destination for tea lovers in San Diego. With its focus on quality ingredients and innovative drink options, 3Cat is redefining the bubble tea experience while catering to health-conscious consumers looking for delicious alternatives to traditional sugary beverages.
