The Alley Expands To Houston’s Asiatown With New Location In Dun Huang Plaza

The popular milk tea chain, The Alley, is adding a fourth Houston location in Asiatown, marking its continued expansion in the city.

Known for its signature scratch-made Deerioca (brown sugar tapioca) and indulgent crème brûlée drinks, The Alley is opening its new store at 9889 Bellaire Blvd. on Friday, March 14 at 12 p.m.

The location, which was previously occupied by Aqua S, will kick off with grand opening celebrations from March 14-16, featuring exciting giveaways.

The Alley’s menu features a wide array of customizable drinks, including unique flavors like ube milk tea and the Royal No. 9 milk tea with blueberry-infused black tea.

The brand’s Deerioca, fresh tapioca balls drenched in brown sugar syrup, remains a fan favorite. Additionally, customers can enjoy the “Lulu” series, offering fruit-infused tea options such as the iced peach oolong grape Lulu.

The Asiatown location marks The Alley’s fourth storefront in Houston. The brand first launched its flagship location in Katy in November 2021, followed by expansions to Sugar Land and Westchase in 2024.

The new store is opening amid a wave of new boba shop arrivals in the neighborhood. Dun Huang Plaza is also preparing to welcome HeyTea in April 2025, and across the street at Sterling Plaza, Chi Cha San Chen, a Taiwanese tea chain known for its award-winning brews, is also set to open soon.
