CoCo Bubble Tea, one of the world’s leading milk tea brands, is strengthening its footprint in Southeast Asia with new store openings in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Phnom Penh, Cambodia this spring.
As part of its regional growth, CoCo is tailoring its menu to reflect local preferences, including offering Halal-certified ingredients to ensure greater inclusivity.
The first of multiple stores in Kuala Lumpur will open this May, while Cambodia saw its first CoCo location launch with a soft opening on April 13.
These expansions reflect the brand’s commitment to connecting with diverse communities in a fast-growing milk tea market.
“Our Southeast Asia partners are crucial to our success,” said Kody Wong, Deputy GM of Business Development. “With each new store, we aim to serve drinks that match the tastes of local consumers while delivering the high-quality experience CoCo is known for.”
With over 5,000 stores globally, CoCo’s Southeast Asia success story began in 2012 and includes major achievements in the Philippines, where it operates over 120 stores and boasts the highest average sales.
The brand’s ability to adapt to local preferences—such as using regional flavors and offering customizable drinks—has fueled its popularity among middle-class consumers.
As bubble tea evolves from a premium treat to an everyday indulgence, CoCo Bubble Tea is leading the way by blending global quality with local authenticity.
