Shuyi Grass Jelly & Tea, a renowned Chinese milk tea brand, has officially opened its first franchise in the D.C. area at Seven Corners, quickly becoming a local favorite.
The grand opening event at Willston Centre II attracted long lines of customers eager to try the brand’s signature tapioca and grass jelly drinks, boosted by a buy-one, get-one free promotion.
Established in 2007 in Chengdu, Sichuan province, Shuyi has grown to over 7,000 stores across China and expanded internationally with locations in the U.S., Southeast Asia, and Europe.
The Seven Corners location marks a significant milestone as the brand’s entry into the D.C. market.
Shuyi’s menu highlights its unique grass jelly, derived from the Chinese mesona plant, a member of the mint family. Popular offerings include the signature grass jelly milk tea and coconut grass jelly drinks.
The shop also features five varieties of milk tea, such as brown sugar bubble milk and oolong cherry blossom snow top tea, alongside five fruit tea options.
Located at 6122-B Arlington Blvd near Patrick Henry Drive, Shuyi Grass Jelly & Tea operates daily from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. on weekdays, extending to 9:30 p.m. on weekends, inviting tea lovers to enjoy authentic Sichuan flavors in a welcoming atmosphere.
