A popular bubble tea brand is preparing to open a new location in Edinburgh’s bustling city centre.
Hey Luck Bubble Tea, already established in Aberdeen with two outlets on George Street and Merkland Road East, has submitted plans to Edinburgh Council to install signage for their latest shop at 72 South Clerk Street.
Situated between the Polish market Touch of Poland and the American-style Burger Drop Edinburgh, the new Hey Luck shop will bring its signature bubble tea alongside a vibrant menu of Asian street food, including jianbing, takoyaki, and Korean fried chicken, to the heart of the city.
Previously home to Oma’s African Cuisine, which closed last year, the South Clerk Street venue is set for a fresh makeover with a colorful sign featuring Hey Luck’s playful logo—a cartoon girl sipping bubble tea.
This move will add to Edinburgh’s growing bubble tea scene, joining other local favorites like CUPP, which recently expanded with a second spot on Leith Walk.
Hey Luck’s arrival promises a new hotspot for bubble tea fans and street food lovers alike in Edinburgh’s lively neighbourhood.
