Binge Coffee House, the rising star of Berkeley’s specialty drink scene, is preparing to open a second location on Durant Avenue by summer 2025, just months after its debut on Bancroft Way in December 2024.
Nguyen made a strategic decision to shift away from the already saturated boba market in Berkeley by introducing a new concept that blends traditional coffee-making methods, like the high-caffeine Vietnamese phin drip, with fan-favorite milk teas and boba drinks.
The menu continues to feature seasonal boba tea specials alongside staples like matcha and classic milk tea, catering to both bubble tea lovers and coffee aficionados.
Owner Minh Nguyen says the new space will solve seating issues and reduce wait times, while also adding a food kitchen for Vietnamese street food like spring rolls and sticky rice.
The Durant shop will stay open late and be closer to campus, making it a go-to spot for students craving bold drinks and cozy vibes.
