Shuyi Grass Jelly & Tea Opens First D.C. Area Shop in Seven Corners

Shuyi Grass Jelly & Tea, a beloved Chinese milk tea brand, has officially made its debut in the D.C. area with a new shop in Seven Corners.

Located at 6122-B Arlington Blvd. in the Willston Shopping Center, the shop is the first Shuyi franchise in the region, marking an exciting expansion of the brand’s presence in the United States.

Shuyi specializes in handcrafted milk tea and grass jelly drinks, made with real tea leaves instead of powdered alternatives. The brand is widely recognized in China for its quality ingredients and refreshing blends.

According to franchise owner Xueqian Wan, Shuyi’s signature drinks combine traditional grass jelly—made from a special plant native to China—with organic milk and fresh fruit for a naturally soothing treat.

Popular menu items include matcha bubble milk, avocado coconut tea, Ovaltine crunchy chocolate smoothie, and mango milk smoothie. The highlight remains the grass jelly drinks, which Wan notes are not only delicious but also offer digestive health benefits—particularly after eating spicy foods.

Shuyi Grass Jelly & Tea operates from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and stays open until 9:30 p.m. on weekends, offering a refreshing new destination for milk tea lovers in the D.C. metro area.
