Something exciting is happening in Bristol! A brand-new café called CUPP x Moomin Boba House is opening this Friday, May 30, and it’s perfect for fans of bubble tea and the Moomins.
The café is located at 68a Park Row, and it’s the first-ever Moomin-themed bubble tea shop in the UK. It’s been created by CUPP, a popular bubble tea brand that started in Bristol, in partnership with Moomin Characters.
A Cute Café with Moomin Magic
The new shop looks like something straight out of Moominvalley. It’s full of adorable decorations, cozy corners, and photo-ready spots. The design is inspired by the magical world of the Moomins, making it a great place to hang out and take pictures.
Inside, you’ll find a special menu with limited-edition drinks and pancakes, all based on scenes and flavors from the Moomin books. Whether you’re a longtime fan or just curious, this café promises a fun and unique experience.
“From the décor to the drinks, every detail has been designed to create a playful and unforgettable experience,” a CUPP spokesperson said.
Free Gifts for the First 100 Visitors!
To celebrate the grand opening, the first 100 people in line on Friday will get a free tote bag filled with exclusive goodies from both CUPP and the Moomins. The store opens at 12 PM, so get there early if you want a free gift!
Fans Are Already Buzzing
People are really excited about the new shop. One fan wrote on Instagram:
“This is so exciting! Moomins and bubble tea: two of my favourite things.”
Another said:
“I can’t wait to see the decorations and try the themed drinks!”
A Familiar Spot, Now With a New Look
CUPP has been at Park Row since 2019, but it has now been completely transformed with the Moomin theme. The company also has another smaller location in a shipping container at Quakers Friars.
CUPP began back in 2012 as a bubble tea van and was inspired by the founders’ time in Taiwan, where boba tea first became popular.
