Hey Tea, the renowned global milk tea brand famous for pioneering cheese foam tea, is set to open its first Maryland location on Friday, June 20th, at 891-F Rockville Pike in Wintergreen Plaza.
Following the immense popularity of its Tysons Corner outlet—where eager fans lined up for weeks—the Rockville store anticipates similar excitement among local tea lovers.
Occupying the former Sweetfrog space between Wingstop and Paisano’s Pizza, Hey Tea’s grand opening weekend (June 20–22) will feature special promotions, including a Buy One Get One Free deal and an exclusive city-themed fridge magnet while supplies last. The store will welcome guests daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Founded in 2012 by young entrepreneur Neo Nie in Guangdong, China, Hey Tea has rapidly expanded internationally, earning acclaim as the originator of the now-iconic cheese foam topping.
After debuting in the U.S. with a flagship New York City location, followed by California and Virginia outlets, Hey Tea now brings its signature blend of Refreshing Real Fruit Teas, Real Dairy Milk Teas, and Finest Teas to Maryland.
Highlights on the menu include fan favorites like Very Grape Cheese, Mango Grapefruit Sago, and Regal Aqua Green Jasmine Cheese.
This grand opening marks an exciting milestone for Maryland’s tea enthusiasts eager to savor Hey Tea’s innovative flavors and quality ingredients.
